Kielder Water Birds of Prey Centre hosts one of the largest collections of birds of Prey in the North of England, including the infamous Snowy Owl. The Aurora Night at Kielder Observatory offers a sparkling natural light show that will get you into the festive spirit. The Northern Lights have been observed from the Kielder Observatory multiple times. The Christmas Aurora events provide an opportunity to discover the dancing lights, and learn about the spiritual stories and science behind them.





The Alnwick Garden is a perfect setting to embrace the Christmas spirit. Visit The Winter Wonderland and enjoy a sparkling drinks reception, overlooking the Grand Cascade that will be illuminated by Christmas lights. Then, indulge in a three-course meal and enjoy music from live bands and the resident DJ. The disco mixology party night is also set within the same stunning setting. This event takes you and a friend on a cocktail masterclass journey by a mixologist. There are also various street theatre events this year at Alnwick with a range of favourite characters. The winter trail also offers the chance to solve clues as you and your family go on a magical journey throughout the garden.
