Christmas in Northumberland
Christmas is slowly creeping up on us, and it is important to spend time with friends and family. Which is why we have decided to create a list of festivities to get involved with over the Christmas break.
Christmas on the walk
Why not walk off that Christmas pudding with the ‘Christmas on the wall’ walk. This event takes place on 27/12/17 at 10.30am. This is a circular walk starting and finishing at the Sill Landscape Discovery Centre. The route covers the highest point of the Hadrian’s wall, which is at Winshields Crag. This should allow you to take in some great and picturesque views along the way. The route will then head back to the Sill, where refreshments will be held (This is not included in the price).

Another great festivity at the Sill is the ‘Sill Sunday’. This takes place on Sunday 17th December, at 10am. This event allows you to make your own decorations and crafts. Make sure you are prepared for mess though!
So get involved with this and make some sentimental gifts for your friends and family at the Sill.
Price - £2.50 per person (pay on the day).
Christmas late night dark skies
This is a great event to discover what goes on when you are usually sleeping! There will be a team of astronomers to help guide you and explain what is going on in the skies. The time and date has been specifically picked to coincide with the new moon and when the skies are at their darkest.
