Alnwick Gardens & Treehouse

If the sun comes out to play this weekend then the Alnwick Gardens is a beautiful place to visit. Soak up the nature and picturesque views of the gardens before stopping by the gift shop to perouse a range of photography, food, craft beers and fabulous gift ideas. Before heading back to base, you could make a table reservation for the world’s largest Treehouse restaurant to enjoy a magical dining experience sampling locally sourced seafood, fish and meats while enjoying a sip of wine or testing The Duchess of Northumberland’s very own range of cocktails “Deadly Jane” infront of the live music hosted that particular evening.

Hadrian’s Wall

If you are wanting to walk the legs off yourself and your little pooch, then we have the perfect trail. Hadrian’s Wall. Stretching 73 miles coast to coast from the west at Bowness-on-Solway to the east at Wallsend, it is perfect for soaking up a bit of history within Northumberland to view the wall that was built to guard the wild north-west frontier of the Roman Empire.

 

Tynemouth Market

On Sunday’s especially, the seaside town of Tynemouth is one of the best places to be! Hosting Tynemouth Market, known as the North’s most vibrant marketplace, from 9am-3:30pm situated in Tynemouth Station you can find all sorts of preloved vintage goods, handmade crafts, locally sourced produce and many a-place to take the world off your feet and sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy a bite to eat.

 

Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

Experience the real hustle and bustle of city life in the centre of the ‘toon.’ A 44-minute drive from base here at William De Percy, you can spend the day shopping in the indoor shopping centre, Eldon Square, or on the many streets sprinkled in high street names on Grey Street and Northumberland Street. Hosting the Quayside Market underneath the iconic landmark, the Swing Bridge between 9:30am-4pm every Sunday and The Grainger Market on Grainger Street open Monday-Saturday 9am-5:30pm, there is plenty to do and see in the vibrant city.
