We are on the Scottish borders, so take a trip to either Jedburgh, Hawick or Newcastleton which are only a 30-minute ride away!
So we thought we would create a list of our favourite things to do in and around the Scottish borders, to help narrow the selection for you.
Take a step back into history with this great museum. A trip out for the whole family! Children can dress up and enjoy activities in and around the old cells too.
The building dates back to the 1820’s when it was previously a prison. You can still look and walk around in the old cell blocks to try and see what it would have been like back then. These cell blocks are the finest remaining Howard reform prisons in Scotland, so it’s not to be missed!
Are you into your fashion? Then take a trip to the textile towerhouse in Hawick. This is a great way to learn and discover the history behind knitwear and tweed, and how it has got so popular in today’s society.

If you are looking for a little more adventure, then head down to Rock UK Whitihaugh. It’s great for all the family to get involved in. You can get involved with activities like climbing, archery, zip wiring, watersports and plenty more. A great way to get the whole family involved with activities. You could do an orienteering trail, getting the whole family to work as a team, and a rewarding activity once completed.
